In the words of TLC, ‘Let’s go chasing waterfalls.’
Mundy Regional Park is located in the Perth Hills region. The journey is picturesque as you navigate your way around the windy roads up to the regional park. On the descent, if you are driving back to Perth, you will be able to see the city skyline.
There is no admission fee to enter the park. There are a number of marked walk trails which allows you to explore various parts of the regional park. If you want to go for a quick stroll to visit Lesmurdie Falls, I’d recommend parking at the top carpark and walking the 600 metre trail down to the viewing platforms.
I drove out to the regional park a day after heavy rainfall and it was amazing to hear the sounds of the waterfall (and see it flowing). The view from the platforms offers photo opportunities of the waterfall and the city skyline.
