‘don’t worry. don’t hurry. you’re only here for a short visit. so don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.- walter hagan.’
Located 45 minutes north of Perth off Waneroo Road is the picturesque Yanchep National Park. Open every day between 8:30am and 5pm, (day) entry to the park is $12 per vehicle or $6 for concession card holders and motorbikes.
The park has it all from BBQ facilities and tables, restrooms, an Inn (with an onsite restaurant), tearooms, walking trails, a cave and koala park.
During the warmer months, the crystal clear blue water and bright green landscape provides the perfect setting for a picnic, family outing or leisurely stroll among nature.
If you want to explore a cave (which is also a perfect way to escape the spring and summer heat), you can purchase a ticket for a 45 minute guided tour through Crystal Cave from the McNess Visitor’s Centre. It’s one of 580 caves in the national park and the only one to be converted into a tour cave.
