Fred Jacoby National Park- The Perfect Picnic Spot.

I think Shakespeare was on to something wonderful when he stated ‘earth has music for those who listen’- I heard it sing to me today. I was hoping to revisit the Mundaring Weir basin where I went a few years ago but I ended up somewhere completely different- a bit of serendipity I suppose. I took a wrong turn off and ended up at Morish Nuts in The Swan Valley- so naturally (of course) I walked out with a bag full of nutty goodness for my family. I soon found myself back on track and heading for the Weir.

Long story short, I didn’t find the location I was hoping to find BUT I found something even better. A beautiful park, Fred Jacoby National Park which is connected to the Beelu National Park.

The park is beautiful, there’s a giant oak tree which you can sit under, picnic tables nestled away under the trees with a view of a part of the Mundaring Weir pipeline and it’s dog friendly too (as I discovered when another visitors’ dog ran up to greet me as I was walking back to my car!)
